AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) [Registration No. 198601005272 (154432-A)] was incorporated in Malaysia on 9 July 1986 and is a licensed fund manager regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) on 25 September 2008.
AFM and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand. AmWealth delivers holistic wealth solutions across institutional and corporate clients, SMEs, high net worth individuals and the mass affluent segment, leveraging the expertise and capabilities of its established businesses, which comprises AFM, AIFM, AmPrivate Banking, and AmBank Wealth Management & Bancassurance.
AFM holds a Capital Markets and Services Licence pursuant to the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 for the regulated activities of fund management in relation to portfolio management, dealing in securities restricted to unit trusts, and dealing in private retirement schemes. AFM offers a diverse range of both conventional and Shariah-compliant investment funds across asset classes and markets. AFM also manages exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and discretionary mandates.
AFM has appointed AIFM, a licensed fund manager approved by the SC on 12 January 2009, to implement the investment strategies of its Shariah-compliant funds in accordance with their respective investment objectives.
As at the Financial Year ended 31 March 2026, AFM was not involved in any material litigation, arbitration, or legal proceedings, nor was it aware of any facts or circumstances that might give rise to proceedings that could materially affect its business or financial position.

Kevin Wong Weng Tuck is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM), overseeing the fund management business of both AFM and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM). AFM and AIFM are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand. Mr Kevin was appointed to the Board of AmFunds Management Berhad on 18 April 2025 as a Non-Independent Executive Director.
Since 1996, Mr Kevin has accumulated extensive experience in financial services, capital markets, and fund management. Prior to his current role, he served as the Principal Officer (PO) of AIFM. In this role, he led business development and marketing for Islamic funds while overseeing Shariah compliance and governance for AIFM and its investment portfolios. He has also served as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of AIFM, managing investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio construction for all funds under management. Additionally, he was the designated fund manager for all Islamic funds managed by AIFM.
Mr Kevin began his career with AFM in 2000 as an investment analyst. Before becoming CIO, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Research, leading a team of 15 analysts covering economic trends, monetary policies, industry sectors, and companies across 18 countries.

Raymond Lew Wei Chien is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM). In his role, he oversees the company’s investments across all asset classes which include investment analysis, investment strategies, and portfolio positioning of funds under management. He is the designated fund manager of AFM for all its unit trusts, wholesale funds, Private Retirement Schemes (PRS) and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
With over 25 years of investment management experience, Mr Lew has built deep expertise in fixed income portfolio management across both institutional and retail mandates. In his previous role as Deputy CIO at AFM, he was responsible for overseeing the management and performance of institutional mandates and unit trust funds. His responsibilities included portfolio construction, risk management, and the execution of investment strategies. He has extensive experience at AFM, having progressed through the ranks from Senior Fund Manager, Fixed Income to his current leadership role.
Prior to joining AFM, Mr Lew held senior fixed income investment roles at various asset management and insurance companies, where he established a strong track record in managing fixed income portfolios across multiple market cycles. He has undertaken roles comparable in scope and responsibility to his current position, consistently demonstrating sound investment leadership and strong risk discipline.

Yasotha Kandasamy is the Head of Institutional Sales at AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM), where she leads the Institutional Sales and Client Servicing team. In her role, Ms. Yasotha is responsible for driving business growth, managing strategic client relationships, and overseeing client servicing support for institutional clients. Her client portfolio includes pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, public listed companies, government-linked companies (GLCs), corporates, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She works closely with clients to deliver investment solutions that meet their evolving financial objectives and investment needs. With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, she has developed expertise in investment products, credit control within the broking industry, and fund management. She joined AFM in 2001 and has played a pivotal role in the growth of its institutional business. She was entrusted with overseeing the Client Services and Sales team for AFM's Institutional and Corporate channel and assumed similar responsibilities at AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. in 2011. Prior to her current appointment, she served as Vice President, Institutional Fund Services, where she was instrumental in strengthening client relationships and enhancing service delivery standards for institutional investors.
Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to building long-term relationships with clients and delivering investment solutions tailored to meet their evolving financial objectives and investment needs.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from University Sains Malaysia, majoring in Economics. Valerie Low Lai Kin is the Head of Channel Sales, Product and Marketing for AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM). In her role, Ms Valerie oversees the business development and growth of unit trusts and Private Retirement Schemes (PRS) across various retail channels including Institutional Unit Trust Advisers (IUTAs), Corporate Unit Trust Advisers, Institutional PRS Advisers and digital financial planning platforms. Her broad financial industry expertise spans more than two decades, covering brokering, insurance and investment-linked marketing and research, retail banking relationship management and wealth management in various financial institutions.
Ms Valerie also acquired strong fund management knowledge as she was the business development head of an international fund management company based in Malaysia who was responsible for fund size growth and new business. She joined AFM in year 2016 and her last role was Head of Retail and Retirement Funds, leading a team looking after the growth of retail and retirement funds from IUTAs.
She graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bath, UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Massey University, New Zealand, majoring in Finance. She is a Certified Financial Planner and a registered individual with the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) to market and distribute unit trusts as well as Private Retirement Schemes (PRS). Ms Katrina Tee Pey Sheh is the designated Compliance Officer overseeing compliance matters in AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM). Since 2005, Ms Tee has built extensive working experience in regulatory compliance, governance, monitoring and testing, audit and AML/CFT across the banking and financial services industry, over which 9 years’ experience are capital markets related within the AmBank Group. She is also currently the Head of Compliance at AmInvestment Bank Berhad.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from University of Hertfordshire, UK and Advanced Certification in Regulatory Compliance from Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB). She has completed the relevant examinations for Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) modules and is registered as Head of Compliance with both SC and Bursa Malaysia. Mr Raymond Michael is the Head of Risk Management, overseeing risk management for both AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) since April 2023. AFM and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand.
Mr Raymond began his career at several international banks and financial institutions before joining the local banking sector. Since 1994, he has gained extensive experience in banking, financial services, securities custody, and fund management, and has developed deep expertise in risk management across various business areas. Prior to his current role, he headed the Operational Risk Management Unit in AFM, where he managed day-to-day operational risks such as legal risk, reputational risk, cyber threats, and outsourcing risk. His role focused on assessing the effectiveness of controls and strengthening them where necessary to ensure risks were managed effectively.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from UNITAR International University. He also holds an ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) accredited by the Certification Commission of DRI International.

Mdm Jas Bir Kaur A/P Lol Singh was appointed to the Board of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) on 1 July 2021 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. She assumed the Chairmanship of the Board on 1 January 2025.
Throughout her career, Madam Jas Bir has held senior positions at Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia and Value Partners Hong Kong, an asset management company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
She currently sits on the boards of Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM), Pimpinan Ehsan Berhad, and AmREIT Managers Sdn Bhd.
Madam Jas Bir holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration (Analytical Economics) from University Malaya, Masters in Science (Finance) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland and her second Master of Managerial Psychology (part-time) from HELP University, Kuala Lumpur. Mr Ng Chih Kaye ("Mr Ng") was appointed to the Board of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) on 1 July 2021 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He is the Chairman of the Fund Management Division Audit & Risk Management Committee, a joint Board Committee of AFM and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM).
Mr Ng began his career at a firm of Chartered Accountants in London before joining KPMG, Kuala Lumpur. He then served Malayan Banking Berhad for 25 years in the areas of internal audit, credit control and asset recovery until he retired as Executive Vice President in 2010. Mr Ng has been an examiner for the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) for more than 20 years
Mr Ng is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom. He currently sits on the board of AmBank (M) Berhad.

Mr Ronnie Lim began his career with Standard Chartered Bank and held various senior positions across 22 years of service in Malaysia and Singapore. In 2011, he joined Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad as the Head of Group Consumer Banking and in 2015, he moved on to Merchant Trade Asia (a Fintech) as Senior General Manager of Money Services and Payments unit. Subsequently, he joined UOB Bank Malaysia Berhad (UOB) as Managing Director and Country Head of Personal Financial Services (Retail). He retired in May 2024 after serving UOB for 9 years.
Mr Ronnie Lim holds a degree in Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the National University of Malaysia and is a Certified Financial Planner from the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia since 2003. He is also a FIDE Certified Corporate Director since 2011 and had attended Senior Executive Leadership Programmes and an Alumnus of Oxford, Harvard and Cambridge University. A firm believer in Continuous Learning, Mr Ronnie Lim is currently a Senior Associate with Melbourne Business School and a Strategic Advisor to RinggitPlus (a Fintech). He obtained his Certified Practising Accountant accreditation from CPA Australia with a Fellow status in October 2024.

Encik Eqhwan Mokhzanee bin Muhammad was appointed as the Chairman of the Investment Committee of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) on 1 April 2026. AFM and AIFM are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand.
Encik Eqhwan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Islamic Berhad, a position he has held since April 2015. He was the Group Sustainability Champion of AmBank Group from 2019 to May 2023, where he was responsible for establishing and overseeing AmBank Group Sustainability Department in order to drive AmBank Group’s sustainability/ ESG agenda.
Encik Eqhwan commenced his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and subsequently joined the corporate advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Kuala Lumpur. Thereafter, he worked with local and foreign banks where he was exposed to corporate banking, debt capital market, corporate finance, financial advisory and real estate investment. Other than in banking, his career has provided him with experience in corporate management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategy development and operational start-ups within and outside Malaysia.
Encik Eqhwan holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Ms Goh Wee Peng was appointed as a Member of the Investment Committee of AmFunds Management Berhad (“AFM”) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (“AIFM”) on 23 April 2025. She is the Managing Director of Group Wealth Management (“GWM”) at AmBank Group and a member of the Group’s Senior Management Team.
She leads the Bank’s integrated wealth franchise under AmWealth. Under her leadership, AmWealth delivers holistic wealth solutions across institutional and corporate clients, SMEs, high net worth individuals and the mass affluent segment, leveraging the expertise and capabilities of its established businesses, which comprise the funds management division (AFM and AIFM), AmPrivate Banking, and AmBank Wealth Management & Bancassurance.
Ms Goh has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry, including more than 22 years in funds management. Her expertise spans across money broking, bond trading and asset management.
Prior to her current role, she was the Chief Executive Officer of AFM. The funds management division of AmWealth, namely AFM and AIFM are multiple award-winning fund houses with over four decades of investment track record. In recognition of her leadership, she was named CEO of the Year (Malaysia) by Asia Asset Management at the 2025 Best of the Best Awards. Before her appointment as CEO in August 2018, she held various senior leadership positions within AFM and AIFM, including Acting CEO, Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer (Fixed Income).
Ms Goh holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. She holds the Persatuan Forex License from the Institute of Bank-Bank Malaysia, is registered as a Unit Trust Consultant with the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) and is an Employee of Registered Person (ERP). She is also certified under the Investor Protection Professional Certification (IPPC). Previously, she held the Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (Modules 9 and 10) and was a member of Persatuan Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia (PPKM).

Encik Shamsul Bahrom Mohamed Ibrahim was appointed as a Member of the Investment Committee of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) on 1 July 2026. AFM and AIFM are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), offering a broad range of conventional and Islamic investment solutions under the AmWealth brand.
Encik Shamsul is currently the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) of AmBank Group, a position he assumed in April 2026. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Group’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring robust risk governance, a strong risk culture, and effective control disciplines across the organisation.
A seasoned banking professional with more than 25 years of experience, Encik Shamsul began his career with AmBank Group in 1999 as an Executive and progressed through the organisation to lead the Group Internal Audit (i.e. as the Group Chief Internal Auditor) function before assuming his current role as GCRO.
Throughout his career, Encik Shamsul has developed deep and broad-based expertise across audit, risk, governance, compliance, and financial crime disciplines. His transition from leading the Group’s Internal Audit function to serving as GCRO affords him a distinctive enterprise-wide perspective on risk stewardship, combining rigorous assurance and control evaluation with strategic risk oversight, sound governance practices, and organisational resilience.
In recognition of his professional standing and contributions to the banking industry, Encik Shamsul served as Chairman of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers’ (AICB) Chief Internal Auditors Networking Group (CIANG) for four terms. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Finance and Accounting from the University of Salford, Manchester. He is also a Fellow Chartered Banker (FCB) of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).

Mr Kevin began his career with AFM in 2000 as an investment analyst. Before becoming CIO, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Research, leading a team of 15 analysts covering economic trends, monetary policies, industry sectors, and companies across 18 countries.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Monash University, Australia. He also holds a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence for the regulated activity of fund management and is a registered individual with the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) to market and distribute unit trusts as well as Private Retirement Schemes (PRS).

Encik Mirza Shah bin Abdul Rahim Shah was appointed as a Member of the Investment Committee of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM) and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM) on 23 April 2025. AFM and AIFM are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand.
Encik Mirza is the Principal Officer (PO) of AIFM. His responsibilities include business development and marketing of Islamic funds, as well as managing the Shariah compliance and governance of AIFM and its investment portfolios. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of AIFM as a Non-Independent Executive Director on 18 April 2025.
Since 1999, Encik Mirza has accumulated extensive experience in the financial services industry with the AmBank Group, specialising in Islamic finance across corporate banking, capital markets and fund management. Prior to becoming PO, Encik Mirza held the position of Head of Islamic Institutional Sales, where he was responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading the sales team in managing client relationships and growth, as well as ensuring compliance with Islamic finance principles.
Before joining AIFM in October 2017, Encik Mirza was part of the Islamic Markets unit within the Debt Markets department at AmInvestment Bank Berhad. In this role, he focused on structuring and executing Shariah-compliant fundraising solutions for large corporates and institutions.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University, United States of America (USA). He also holds a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence for the regulated activity of fund management.

AFM and AIFM are the fund management entities within AmWealth (Group Wealth Management), with their products and services marketed under the AmWealth brand.
Mr Wong is currently the Head, Group Investments at AmWealth Group Wealth Management (AmWealth) where he oversees investment and product solutions across all segments within the AmWealth’s coverage. AmWealth brings together the expertise and wealth services of established sub-brands under the AmBank Group, namely AFM, AIFM, AmPrivate Banking and AmBank Wealth Management & Bancassurance. Mr Wong has extensive experience in financial services and funds management since 2000, with a strong track record in investment management, product innovation, business development, and client relationship management.
Prior to his current role, Mr Wong was Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of AFM, where he led the firm’s investments across all asset classes. His responsibilities included overseeing the firm’s investment strategies, research and portfolio management for the funds under AFM’s management. He was the designated fund manager for AFM’s unit trusts, wholesale funds, Private Retirement Schemes (PRS), and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The firm has garnered numerous fund performance awards during his tenure as Chief Investment Officer in AFM. He was also the Head of Fixed Income (Islamic) prior to CIO, where he was in charge of Islamic fixed income investments.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Raymond Lew Wei Chien is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM). In his role, he oversees the company’s investments across all asset classes which include investment analysis, investment strategies, and portfolio positioning of funds under management. He is the designated fund manager of AFM for all its unit trusts, wholesale funds, Private Retirement Schemes (PRS) and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
With over 25 years of investment management experience, Mr Lew has built deep expertise in fixed income portfolio management across both institutional and retail mandates. In his previous role as Deputy CIO at AFM, he was responsible for overseeing the management and performance of institutional mandates and unit trust funds. His responsibilities included portfolio construction, risk management, and the execution of investment strategies. He has extensive experience at AFM, having progressed through the ranks from Senior Fund Manager, Fixed Income to his current leadership role.
Prior to joining AFM, Mr Lew held senior fixed income investment roles at various asset management and insurance companies, where he established a strong track record in managing fixed income portfolios across multiple market cycles. He has undertaken roles comparable in scope and responsibility to his current position, consistently demonstrating sound investment leadership and strong risk discipline.
